WHAT OUR PARENTS SAY

WHAT OUR GRADUATES SAY

My name is Jascanel Ferreras and I am a proud former Georgia Stars Academy Baseball player. The program of Georgia Stars Academy has developed me into not only the player but the person I am today. The program taught me to strive for success through a hard work ethic, determination, and adaptability under any circumstances . I was apart of the Georgia Stars organization at the age 15 until 18 and still today at 23 years old I carry that same chip on my shoulder and that the program embedded in me. Coaches and staff are well experienced and have developed a goal as a whole that will help an individual become who they desire to be in baseball, but most importantly in life.
The organization Cultivated a high intensity workout whether it was a weight, baseball/softball session, individual session, or team session that evaluated and recruited players to collaborate with training specialist to discuss which program each athlete was best equipped for.
Georgia Stars Academy not only will show an individual the path of success but will walk right beside one to maintain the focus along the way.

Jascanel Ferreras, Ga Stars, Baseball Academy

Georgia Stars baseball was a great experience for me as a young player learning the game. Coach Waters and the staff did a great job of encouraging me while still being fair and honest about my strengths and weaknesses. I will always be grateful to the Georgia Stars baseball program.

Kyle Lewis, Ga Stars, Baseball Academy

The Georgia Stars played a big role in not only helping me improve my game, but build character traits I still use today. Coach Waters and his staff have the knowledge and resources to help improve all aspects of your game. With their state of the art batting facilities, strength and conditioning coaches, and gym equipment, throughout high school, college, and into my professional career Georgia Stars Academy helped me get stronger and ready for the next season. I also took the opportunity to come back and help give instruction to all ages along with coach a couple of the teams. Georgia Stars Academy is where you want to be in order to take your game to the next level.

Cletis Avery

Within my experience with playing with the Georgia Stars Baseball Academy along with Coach Waters I had a remarkable experience. For me and my journey this program not only helped me with my baseball career but also becoming a man. Coach Waters would do everything out of “tough love”. This meaning he emphasized to me which he would make me responsible and accountable for my own actions at a very young age. This not only shaped me on the field but also off the field. Many would see this type of accountability for a young kid as it being too much for them to handle. However, Coach Waters made sure I had a great platform to start from and grow from each and every day so that it could be with me in my future development. Being with this baseball academy since I was young has allowed me to become a young man at such an early age because of responsibilities that not your regular or typical kid would have. I see this way of going with life as very important for kids so that when they get older responsibilities will be much easier for them because it is a part of them. I thank Coach Waters for everything he has done to help me with my baseball career allowing me to get to where I am now and even further because the sky is the limit. Once you have in your mind your dreams the next thing is to make it a reality and believe in it. Also, you must get out of your head about the idea that there is only one path to make it to be a baseball player professionally. If that is your dream it is just like a baseball game you are going to get curve balls and sliders that buckle you, but it is your job to take a breath and get yourself right.

The Georgia Stars Baseball Academy has done unbelievable things for my Family and I. This program has taught me not only to become a better baseball player, but also a better man. Coach Waters demands nothing but the best. That is why he pushes so many kids and young men past their potential. He is a great coach and great mentor. That allows young men such as myself to continue to give back to the program by coaching and training the next group of young men that Coach Waters wants us to help prepare for baseball and life.

Kameron Armstrong

Georgia Stars Baseball Academy became a heavy influence in my life at the age of 14. After working out with Coach Waters a few times prior to making the switch to play for him, I knew he had my best interest at heart and would give me the proper guidance to reach my goals. The more time I spent in the program, the more it molded me to become a responsible, discipline man. From instilling a coachable mindset, checking for proper workout attire, and tracking who was on time, I knew that these actions would transfer not only on the field, but also to the classroom and everyday life. I remember the ups and downs of my Georgia Stars journey and the lessons that it taught me moving forward. I remember the different teammates that I had over the years and how it trained me to work with different personalities to reach a common goal. More than anything, I remember how it felt to receive a Division I scholarship out of high school to play baseball at the next level and help my family financially while setting a good example for my brother, cousins, and peers. Ultimately, I’m very grateful to have had the type of journey I did with Coach Waters and the Georgia Stars Baseball Academy. I believe that no matter what my future entails at this point in my life, I will be more than prepared to excel.

Hunter Phillips, Class of 2014

Georgia Stars Baseball Academy kept me in good physical shape, and help motivated to earn better grades in high school to received an academic scholarship to play Division I baseball. Georgia Stars baseball allowed me to travel and play baseball games at various college schools to showcase my baseball skills. Without the Georgia Stars Baseball Academy I would’ve never had played college baseball, and or received a free education without the academy. Coach Waters instilled core values that taught me to be responsible for my actions, Time Management, Discipline, and Confidence. While playing travel baseball for the Georgia Stars, I met good friends and mentors along the way to help mold me to the man that I am today. Georgia Stars definitely helped prepared me to be a productive citizen. SHOUT OUT TO THE ACADEMY, GO STARS!
